The storage dam of Karun 4 and its power plant are located in the province of ChaharMahal va Bakhtiari , 180 kilometers southwest of Shahre Kord and before the intersection of the Karun and Monj Rivers. Its purpose is to produce electrical power and control surface water in the area. The dam is constructed in the shape of double arcs of concrete, and it is currently the tallest concrete dam in Iran. The necessary procurement and implementation of this dam was performed by Munir. The instrumentation was procured from the Huggenberger Company of Switzerland.
